Is Minecraft Manhunt on Bedrock?
Bedrock support for MCManhunt is coming soon, it’s planned and in the works, but for now the server runs on Minecraft Java Edition 1.21+ only. That means consoles (Xbox, PlayStation, Switch), phones and tablets, and the Microsoft Store version of Minecraft on Windows can’t connect just yet.
We’d rather tell you that straight than let you type the IP into a Bedrock client and hit an error. The good news is twofold: Bedrock support is genuinely on the roadmap, and if you play on PC there’s a decent chance you can already join on Java today, more on that below.
Play Manhunt today (Java Edition)
MCManhunt is free to play on Java Edition 1.21+, no mods, no datapacks, no whitelist. And here’s the part many Bedrock players miss: the current Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition purchase on PC bundles both games together. If you bought Minecraft for Windows, open the official launcher and look for Java Edition. There’s a good chance you already own it and can join MCManhunt right now without spending anything.
Server IP, Java Edition 1.21+
- Open Minecraft Java Edition 1.21+ and go to Multiplayer → Add Server.
- Enter mcmanhunt.com as the server address and join.
- Pick Manhunt (or any other mode) in the lobby and queue, solo or with a party.

Get notified when Bedrock launches
Bedrock support is in active development, but we won’t promise a date we can’t keep. There’s no firm public release date yet. The moment it goes live, it will be announced in the MCManhunt Discord first: discord.gg/manhunt. Join now and you’ll see the announcement the day Bedrock players can connect, plus dev updates, events, and a place to find teammates in the meantime.

- Can you play Minecraft Manhunt on Bedrock?
- Not yet on MCManhunt. Bedrock support is coming soon. Right now the server runs on Minecraft Java Edition 1.21+ only. If you play on PC, check your launcher: the current Minecraft purchase bundles Java and Bedrock together, so you may already own Java Edition and can join today.
- Is MCManhunt on Pocket Edition / Xbox / PlayStation / mobile?
- Those platforms all run Bedrock Edition, so the same answer applies: Bedrock support is planned but not live yet. For now you can only join from Minecraft Java Edition 1.21+ on PC.
- Can you play Minecraft Manhunt on Xbox?
- Not on MCManhunt yet. Xbox runs Bedrock Edition, and Bedrock support is coming soon but not live. If you also play Minecraft on a PC, check your launcher — the current purchase bundles Java and Bedrock, so you may already be able to join on Java today.
- Can you play Minecraft Manhunt on PlayStation?
- Not yet. PlayStation runs Bedrock Edition, which MCManhunt does not support yet. There is no way to run Java Edition on a PlayStation, so a PC is currently the only route in. Bedrock support is planned.
- Can you play Minecraft Manhunt on Nintendo Switch?
- Not yet. Switch is Bedrock Edition only, and Java Edition cannot run on it at all, so Switch players cannot join MCManhunt today even as a workaround. Bedrock support is in development — the Discord announces it first.
- Can you play Minecraft Manhunt on mobile (iOS or Android)?
- Not yet. Minecraft on phones and tablets is Bedrock Edition (Pocket Edition), which MCManhunt does not support yet, and there is no Java Edition for mobile. Bedrock support is planned.
- How do I play Manhunt right now?
- Open Minecraft Java Edition 1.21+, add mcmanhunt.com as a server, and queue for Manhunt from the lobby. It’s free, no mods, no whitelist, no application.
- When is Bedrock coming?
- Bedrock support is in development, but there’s no firm public release date yet. Join the MCManhunt Discord at discord.gg/manhunt. The launch will be announced there first.
