The biggest update McManhunt has had.

Six systems landed together, because none of them work alone: a profile is only worth opening if something is recorded in it, levels are only worth earning if something pays them, and a ranked ladder is only worth climbing if it is visible.

👤 Profile — your stats, finally kept

Every kill, death, win and game you play is now saved.

Before this, they were not. Statistics were written into a document that several services overwrote in whole, so most of what you did was discarded within seconds of doing it. That is why nobody has a play history before today. From now on they persist, in storage that only ever increments and cannot be clobbered.

  • Open it from your hotbar, or the compass menu
  • View anyone’s by clicking their name in chat
  • Online / Away / Offline status above the head
  • Pick a background colour to make it yours

⭐ Levels and rewards

You earn XP for playing, more for winning, and ranked games are worth the most.

  • A level badge beside your name in chat and tab
  • Gems at milestone levels
  • 🎩 A free hat every 25 levels
  • Your level number changes colour as you climb

Levelling is account-wide — every gamemode feeds the same bar.

XP is paid by the minute, not by the match. A long game is worth more than a short one, in proportion to how long it actually ran. This is deliberate: it means an hour of play is worth the same whether you spend it on one long Manhunt or several short games, so there is no way to earn faster by gaming the format. A game must run two minutes to pay anything, and playing the same gamemode over and over during one day pays progressively less — variety pays better than grinding.

Walking out of a game pays nothing.

📜 Quests

Daily, weekly and monthly goals that pay XP.

  • Dailies refresh every day
  • Weeklies are worth far more
  • The monthly is the headline reward of the month
  • Claim them from the quests menu

Quests are the accelerator and levels are the payout — one bar to watch, and a reason to care about the other. Progress only counts for games you finish; leaving early credits nothing.

🏆 Ranked

Ranked Manhunt now moves a real rating. Beating stronger players is worth more than beating weaker ones, so the ladder measures how well you play rather than how much.

  • Pick your side — queue as Runner or Hunter, each with its own rating
  • Five games to calibrate. No rank is shown until then, and the first five move your rating faster so you reach roughly the right place quickly
  • Tiers run LT5 up to HT1, one hundred rating points apart
  • Bedrock is the top rank and needs both a top-100 place and the rating to hold it
  • Matchmaking looks for someone within a tier of you for up to a minute before widening
  • Leaving suspends you from ranked. Two minutes to reconnect before it counts
  • 🔄 Seasons — ratings reset and start fresh

If your opponent walks out and does not come back, you are awarded the win — rating, record and all — at the moment their time runs out, rather than having to wait for the game to formally end. The match can then continue casually with a substitute if you want to keep playing.

📊 Leaderboards

Boards for kills, wins, levels and rating. Your own place is always marked, even when you are not on the visible page.

  • 🔍 Search for any player by name
  • 🌍 Filter by region — EU or NA
  • Only players who have finished their placements appear on a rating board

⚠️ One thing to know

Levels, XP and quest progress have been reset to zero for everyone.

The XP everyone was holding was earned under the old rules — a flat rate per game with no minimum length, no daily taper and no ranked bonus. Those rules are gone, so carrying the balances forward would have meant some players starting the new system hundreds of levels ahead on mechanics that no longer exist.

Nothing else was touched. Your games played, wins, kills and records are all intact — only the XP bar and quest progress were cleared. Nobody had bought levels with gems and nobody had claimed a milestone reward, so no purchase and no reward was lost.

Everyone starts the new ladder from the same line.
